Introduction
This tutorial is organized into three sections:
Section 1 will cover how to navigate in OMNeT++, how to create and program a single node, and how to run simple simulations. We will create a single node, which is able to change its color throughout the simulation. We will explore simulation time and how to schedule messages to yourself.
Section 2 dives a little deeper into the programming and behavior of a node by adding some internal variables to control how often to change the color and to which color to change.
Section 3 will explain how to create two nodes and send messages between them.
This tutorial has been last tested with OMNeT++6.2.0. It has worked fine with all OMNeT++ versions starting with 4.0 and should work just fine for any later versions as well. However, if this is not the case any more, drop us a message.
